You can mark records for flagging or for creating groups of records.
Marking records is particularly useful when you might not be able to group the records by using "Select Records". For example, you may wish to create a holiday card address list, but nothing in the data of your file allows you to group the records. You can do so by marking the individual records. Another use of marking would be to browse and flag records of clients you wish to follow up on.
To mark a record:
• Select "Mark Record" from the "Record" menu or type Cmd-M.
• Click in the box in the upper right hand corner of the Entry screen for that record.
• Click in the space to the left of a record in the "Just Names" or "All Fields" list.
To mark more than one record at a time:
In the "Just Names" or "All Fields" list windows, you can mark records by clicking to the left of an unmarked record and then drag up and/or down in the left 'column'.
